Alexander Boyce was born in The Republic of Panama on March 25, 1927, to proud parents Joseph Boyce and Sylvia Tyrrell. The second of six siblings, Alex accepted the love of Christ in his life at a very young age.
Throughout his life, Alex was an avid reader of the word of God. He chose accounting as a profession, but was also well versed in political and world affairs. At the age of 18, he married Linda Cecilia Gaskin, and from this union 6 children were born: Ricardo, Dora, Khalid, Sultan, Lorenzo and Melissa, and they assisted in rearing Jorge and Alci.
The family relocated to Chicago, Illinois in the early 1960s. After 20 years of sub-zero winters, several family members moved to the year-round warmth and drier climate of Arizona, where Alex lived until he went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2008.
Alex will always be remembered as an extraordinarily strong willed individual who was a pillar of support for his family. He was a hard worker, good provider, excellent listener and a man of great strength and integrity.
In addition to his children and ex-wife Linda Boyce, Alex leaves to mourn 5 daughter-in-laws, 2 son-in-laws, 36 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and acquaintances.
We love you and will continue to give God all the Glory.
